Outgoing Dougherty County Commissioners honored at last meeting

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County Commission held their final meeting of the 2014 year and with it honored two of their members who attended their last meeting on the board.

Chairman Jeff Sinyard and District 6 commissioner Jack Stone were both honored for four decades of service on the commission in front a large crowd in the meeting room at the City/County Governmental Building Monday morning.

Sinyard is stepping down after serving 12 years as board's chairman.

Sinyard was first elected to the Dougherty County Commission in 1985

Jack Stone was first elected to the Dougherty County Commission in 1986 and was re-elected six more times to represent district 6 which includes the Putney community.
