Dawson Christmas parade makes a comeback

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - After more than 15 years, city officials in Dawson have brought back their Christmas parade.

It's all part of a initiative by the New Terrell Committee to have more events in Dawson.

About 31 floats participated in the parade. Santa Claus was also there.

The route started on Stonewall St. and went down Church St. and onto Main St.

"I think its great. Everybody has been excited about it and we have a lot of participants tonight. Some of the best floats I've seen in parades," says Martha Ann Coe, with the New Terrell Committee.

They hope to double the amount of floats in next year's parade.
