A new organization in Terrell County is putting on the County's first Christmas Parade in more than 15 years.
"New Terrell" currently has three members and were formed through the Terrell County Family Connection. They first formed last year and held their first event called "Red, White and Boom" in July.
They're hosting the Christmas Parade Saturday night and hope to plan many more events in the future.
"Our Vision for "New Terrell" is that we are all about helping the community," said Martha Ann Coe, "New Terrell" Co-chair. "Bringing the community together and doing things for the children, for the adults, and just offering something here so that we don't have to go so far to participate in something that is good."
The organization plans to hold "Movies under the stars" and a festival next year. The Christmas Parade will be held down Main Street in Dawson on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
