Family finds bullet wound on third horse

CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - A Mitchell County family mourning the loss of two horses found a bullet hole in a third horse Friday afternoon. Owner Steve Edwards says a vet discovered Friday afternoon that a third horse had a bullet wound in the nose.

The vet is now looking to see if the bullet can be retrieved. The reward for information leading to who killed Edwards other two horses is now at $1,000.

The family has no idea who could have committed this senseless crime.

"Not at the moment we don't have a clue. We just hoping somebody comes forth and brings some kind of information that will give us a lead," said Steve Edwards Jr.

If you want to add to the reward fund, you can drop off money at P&C Bank in Camilla.
