Reward increases in search for horse killer

A reward fund is growing for the arrest and conviction of the gunman who shot and killed two horses in Mitchell County.

Steve Edwards Jr. has been getting calls about donations since WALB first aired the story Wednesday night.

Edwards found his two horses, Lady and Roscoe shot dead in their pasture. The horses were shot either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.

The Mitchell County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

Edwards is offering a $500 reward and that amount is growing. You can donate to the "Lady and Roscoe Reward" fund at Planters and Citizens bank in Camilla. If the gunman isn't caught within a year, the money will go to the Dancing Cloud Farm Horse Rescue, Inc., a non-profit animal rescue organization for rescuing abused and neglected horses in Georgia.

If you have any information, call the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office.
