The public got a first hand look at a study to help improve the educational system in Albany-Dougherty County.
Leaders from Albany Tech, Darton College, Albany State and Dougherty County schools held the second education summit at Albany Tech Thursday.
The study done by the Fanning Institute discussed how social and environmental issues and limited resources affect academic achievement.
"One of the main findings is that people are committed to making sure young people have a number of educational choices in the community. And committed to making sure Dougherty County school system is as strong as it can be,” Matt Bishop, J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership.
The results and findings of the study will be available for the public to view on the Dougherty County School System's website.
