ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Police say a van ran off of the road and crashed near the Blaylock exit of the Liberty Expressway Thursday evening.
The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m.
Officers said 46-year old Pamela Briggs was driving a Ford Windstar and taking the Blaylock exit when she lost control, drove through a guard rail, and the van flipped into some trees.
Emergency crews said a medical condition was likely responsible for Briggs losing control.
Westbound traffic lanes backed up due to the crash.
Crews at the scene pulled the van out of a wooded area around 5:45. They loaded it on a tow truck, still upside-down, and took it away.
