THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Many business owners in Thomasville do not like a new sign ordinance that is being proposed.
Store owners who attended a meeting with the Planning Department believe the proposed changes for height requirements and time limits for temporary signs will hurt their businesses.
But city planner Brian Hermann said the revisions he has suggested are market-friendly.
Hermann said, “We'll go back and listen to their feedback and see if we can find that sort of happy medium between shop owners and maintaining the character of the city.”
Hermann said they will continue to seek more input from local businesses before the proposal goes to the city council.
