Crisp Co. student arrested for bringing loaded gun to school

CRISP CO., GA (WALB) -

Deputies arrested a Crisp County student after they brought a gun on school property.

According to a report, school administrators learned around 11:30 a.m. that a student on campus possibly had a handgun.

Authorities were able to approach the student, identified as 18-year-old Kastonia Traylor, and bring him to an empty classroom.

Traylor admitted to school resource officers that he had a .32 pistol. They safely took the gun away from him and secured it.

Officers also found an amount of marijuana on him.

Traylor was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm on school property and possession of marijuana.

Crisp County Sheriff said there was no indication Traylor intended to use the weapon at the school.
