Dougherty County education officials hope hundreds of community members will join them for an education summit.
The collaboration is to improve student achievement on all levels. The first Albany-Dougherty Education Summit was held in July.
Educators, the school superintendent, and Presidents from ASU, Darton and Albany Tech will work in groups facilitated by UGA officials.
"Through all those conversations we have a very think and detailed report of information that was collected about what we can do, where we are, where we need to be," said R.D. Harter, the DCSS spokesperson.
Nearly 400 people showed up for the first summit and organizers are hoping that number will increase.
The summit will be held Thursday, December 11 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Albany Technical College in the Kirkland Conference Center.
