PLAINS, GA (WALB) - Folks in Plains gathered at the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site to sing songs and worship.
It's a tradition each year in the first weekend of December.
Families enjoyed traditional Christmas songs.
Park rangers say its a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and relax.
“You know its the Christmas holidays and with everything that's going on in the news..we just hope that everyone will come here in peace and love and fellowship, and just spend an hour up here, forgetting everything else, and just enjoying the Christmas spirit,” says Park Guide Patty Kuehn.
Next weekend park rangers will host the candle light tours at the historic site starting at 7 p.m.
