Hundreds of people lined the streets in Leesburg for their 26th annual " Spirit of Christmas Parade and Festival."
Law enforcers with the Leesburg Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff's Office passed out candy to kids during the parade. Congressman Sanford Bishop and the Lee County High School Marching Trojans also participated. It's an event many families say they look forward to.
"The Lee County Christmas Parade always seems like the biggest affair and the kids like really love it," said Gina Ferguson, Lee County Resident. "I mean like that's the main reason we just like to come out here is to just see the excitement. They love seeing the displays and seeing Santa Clause. So that's the main reason why we come out."
The parade kicked off with "Breakfast with Santa." The festivities wrapped up with a Doggie Pet Parade.
