A Terrell County recreation facility is getting a makeover thanks to big grant.

Terrell County Family Connection received a grant from State Farm for nearly $80,000.

The money will be used to improve ball fields and the recreation complex. Organizers plan to add grass, walkways, trees and shrubs.

They say it's not only used for sporting events. "This is where we do our fourth of July fireworks, a lot of family reunions have their family reunions out there. It's just widely utilized by the community. We want to make it as nice as we can," said Margaret Halbrook with the Terrell County Family Connection.

This is also a youth service project, which means high school groups will volunteer to make this possible.

Work will begin in the near future.
