The Governor's office says they never received a request to review a special audit of the Terrell County tax commissioner.
We told you in June, Terrell County commissioners unanimously voted to send a new letter to the Governor's office with concerns about Tax Commissioner Peggy Pritchard's job performance.
County leaders say the letter was sent, but officials in the Governor's office tell us they never got it.
Commissioners originally reached out to state officials in March 2013. Governor Nathan Deal reviewed an audit then and asked to be kept up to date on Pritchard's job performance.
"The Governor can respond to it, or not respond to it. But I haven't heard anything. A constitutional officer, we dont' have any direct control over constitutional officers, other than a little bit in the budgetary," said Wilbur T. Gamble, the commission chairman.
Commissioners have complained about Pritchard's poor procedures. She has said she needs more help in the office.
The county clerk says she plans on sending the letter again.
