THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Florida man is in jail after leading Thomas county deputies on a dangerous 130MPH chase.
Frederick Bush is being charged with aggravated assault, drunk driving, and numerous traffic violations after officers tried to pull him over late last week.
Bush continued to flee from the officers, crossing over the Florida state line.
That's when deputies asked for assistance from Jefferson County, FL deputies who were able to arrest Bush.
"The vehicle, I guess he was thinking by running into Florida, that we couldn't pursue him any longer. That's very wrong. We can, and it becomes another felony once you cross a state line fleeing from officers," said Thomas County Sheriff's Captain Steve Jones.
Bush was released on bond in Jefferson County, but was denied bond in Thomas County and remains behind bars.
