ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany's newest Walmart store will open to the public next week with a ribbon cutting.

The Walmart Neighborhood Market, located at 108 S. Westover Blvd. is set to open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10.

The new store will be open 24 hours a day, and brings up to 95 jobs to the area.

On the corner of Westover and Gillionville, the 41,000 square foot store offers a selection of grocery and retail merchandise.

"We're your one stop shop for groceries. We have a drive thru pharmacy, a gas station. We have a full bakery, deli, meat department. We have full dairy and a good selection of groceries at a good price," said Manager Duane Staggers.

The store will also celebrate its new opening with a "Big Family Welcome" on Saturday, Dec. 13. The event will feature free food samples, face painting, and cupcake decorating while supplies last.
