FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) - Fitzgerald's season looks more and more special with each passing week, and the Canes now find themselves just one win from their first state title game since 2000.

These Canes are back at home Friday night for a state semifinal showdown with Greater Atlanta Christian.

Fitzgerald is rolling in the playoffs. They've won their first three postseason games by an average of 29 points.

But in walk the number one, undefeated Spartans, who seem on a mission for their first ever state title.

Fitzgerald head coach Jason Strickland says the key now is just focusing on all those things that got his team to this point.

"One of the things we focused on all week was going back on looking at all the little things," he says. "Making sure we're stepping with the right foot. Defensively, that we're reading our keys the way we're supposed to, and just all the little things that got us to the point of getting to the semifinal."

"We have to do our keys, and key everyone that we're supposed to key," says senior LB Caleb Ray. "If we do what we got to do, and we should be alright."

Fitzgerald and Greater Atlanta Christian battle Friday night at Jaycee Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
