VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police are investigating the theft of nearly 20 tablet computers from Medical Transporter of Georgia over the weekend.

Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday, the medical transportation company's facility was broken into and tablets were stolen from the office as well as from several vehicles parked inside the building.

"Apparently, they have a large business where they park their vehicles inside. Someone went to each vehicle and stole tablets out of 'em. Also, stole tablets out of an office area," said Valdosta Police Department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk.

How, exactly, the suspect or suspects got into the building was still under investigation Tuesday. "According to the report," said Kirk," the initial officer that went did not find any forced entry, so that's being investigated also."

Kirk said the business is being very cooperative in the investigation. "They've given us everything they know to give us and have been very cooperative," Kirk explained.

WALB went to the business Tuesday and spoke with one of the managers, but he did not want to go on camera. As of Tuesday, investigators did not have a suspect description. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Valdosta Police Department.
