Albany car arson under investigation

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Firefighters and Police are investigating a car arson.  The car burned in the same area as another car arson earlier this month.

The 2008 Gray Pontiac Grand Prix was found flaming in the 600 block of Silica Drive about 7:30 Sunday night.

Investigators say the fire was set in the interior of the car, and spread to destroy the entire vehicle.

Earlier in November another car was burned and left in the same area, but Investigators do not think the two cases are related.

Investigator Sam Harris said "For some reason people go that area with the intent to commit the crime of arson."

If you have any information about this car arson, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS and you could earn a reward.
