ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A choir from Uganda brings in the Christmas spirit at an Albany church.
The African Children's Choir performed at First United Methodist Church. They performed "Joy to the World" and several other African Christmas Songs. Their tour leader says the choir enjoys traveling around the country spreading the Christmas spirit.
"They have wonderful smiles and energy and they're beautiful kids and they just bring so much hope and joy where ever they go," said Carrie Lyman, Tour Leader for Choir 42. "It just reminds people that there is that wonderful hope and joy to remember at Christmas. Jesus sent his son and that's a wonderful message of hope."
The African Children's Choir is made up of 18 kids from Uganda and was formed in 1984.
