Berrien County offers incentive for shopping small on Saturday

Crissy Staley Crissy Staley
NASHVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Shopping in Berrien County Saturday could earn you a free hot air balloon ride in Nashville.

It's part of the Berrien County Chamber's effort to encourage residents to take advantage of small business Saturday and shop at stores in the county instead of going to the bigger chain stores elsewhere.

All you have to do is spend $25 dollars and then you can redeem your receipt for a ride in the balloon. "Doesn't matter, any Berrien County business. That receipt, that twenty five dollar receipt, will earn you a hot air balloon ride...shopping locally is very, very important to small towns and our local economy," said Crissy Staley, Executive Director of the Berrien County Chamber.

Rides will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the farmers market in Nashville.
