THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A record store in Thomasville is getting regional and even national attention for its rare collection of vinyl records.
Apollo Records on Broad Street hosted Record Store Day Black Friday.
They opened up at 7 a.m. so music lovers could check out limited release titles only on sale for Black Friday.
Owner Robert Kelly says he's excited to see this generation has an interest in vinyl.
Kelly said, “Records were supposed to become obsolete. But that hasn't been the case. In fact, what has happened is that vinyl has made a huge comeback and is now the most popular and biggest selling musical format on the planet.”
International Record Store day will be April 18th.
Kelly said that's when folks from across the country visit Thomasville to get their hands on one-of-a-kind records.
