Man denied bond in double robbery

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany man, charged with robbing two stores at gunpoint two weeks ago, was denied bond in the Dougherty County Jail.

Tometrius King stood before a Judge Friday morning after he was captured in south Albany following a short chase.

Wearing handcuffs and leg irons, King heard the charges against him, including two counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Investigators say King shot and missed some clerks after he robbed Brother's Convenience Store on Newton Road and then robbed the Mini Mart on Stuart Avenue just 30 minutes later.
