ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County Police Department responded to four reports of car/deer collision within a ten-hour period from Wednesday evening, into Thursday morning.

The first was at 6:26 in the 5600 block of Leary Road, in which a vehicle struck a deer, but no injuries to humans were reported. Four minutes later, at 6:30, a similar incident happened in the 1600 block of Cordele Road.

Then at 8:56PM in the 700 block of Philema Road, the the third collision of the day happened.

Then at 4:46AM Thursday in the 330 block of Radium Springs Road, the first collision of Thanksgiving Day occurred.

And it's not just in rural areas that deer are roaming. The carcass of a deer that was apparently struck and killed by a vehicle was spotted Tuesday on the Liberty Bypass, at the on ramp Eastbound, about 100 feet from the All American Fun Park.
