Retailers are gearing up for Black Friday

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A lot of retailers are ready for Black Friday shoppers on Thursday.

Gold-N-Diamonds in the Albany Mall will open at six tomorrow night along with many other mall stores.

The owner says they'll have good sales to attract customers.

Dollar General stores will open at 7 a.m. Thanksgiving morning.

The manager of the store near Albany State said they expect to be busy.

“Basically I been in here from sun up to sun down trying to get the shelves stocked so everything can be ready for the customers to come in and have everything they need. They all we been hearing all day, y'all got everything we need. We are local here, we try to capture local clientele. So we been doing what we been doing years and years,” said Deirdre Taylor, Dollar General store manager.

“This store has been here for more than 10 years so we try to keep up with our local customers and try to keep them happy,” Ali, Gold-n-Diamonds.

The Albany Mall will let people inside starting at 5 p.m.

Many stores will open at 6 a.m.
