ALBANY, GA (WALB) - South Georgians continue to debate and analyze the events and violence in Ferguson.
Community organizer Kendall Crawford says he understands the protests in that community, but says the looting and burning only hurts the people who live there.
"It's a no win situation. I think the violence needs to stop. Because Ferguson needs to come together as a whole. The community needs jobs, and those people in Ferguson need to go to work. And you can not work with buildings and businesses burning down," said Crawford.
Rather than violence, Crawford said he thinks protesters should vote, and improve their educational system to bring more prosperity to their community.
