City approves dollars for compressed natural gas station

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

City commissioners approved spending sales tax money to build a Compressed Natural Gas station near the public works department.

The mayor says the move will have multiple benefits.

“You're going to save money eventually if you convert all your vehicles to compressed natural gas. You will save quite a bit of money and and it also helps with the emission,” Dorothy Hubbard, Mayor.

Down the line the city will buy transit buses that run on compressed natural gas.
