CORDELE, GA (WALB) - 21 year old Shaquille Jackson of Cordele was arrested Friday night in connection with the September murder of Jasperian Armstrong. He was taken into custody by the Tri-County Special Response Team, Crisp Co. Sheriff's Office and the Cordele Police Department at Morningside Apartments.
Last week, the grand jury returned indictments against Jackson for the Conspiracy to Commit Homicide and Criminal Street Gang Acts relating to Armstrong's death. Additional indictments were handed down on Kelvy Sherron Henton for the same offenses. Henton is in jail on unrelated charges.
Sheriff Billy Hancock says that Crisp County Sheriff's Office Investigators, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have arrested five people in the murder of Armstrong, and the investigation continues.
Detectives are also still working on the unsolved murder of Ashley Garry, who was murdered in her home.
