Moultrie pharmacists arrested, accused of taking pills

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Two Moultrie pharmacists are out of jail tonight on $2500 bond, accused of taking more than a thousand pills.

Moultrie Police say surveillance video shows 64-year-old Jack Funderburk and 54-year-old Carole Reynolds taking pills from the Rite Aid on 6th street.

The company noticed missing pills last month and notified police. Investigators say Reynolds confessed to taking at least 1300 pills over an extended period.

Funderburk declined to talk to police. He's charged with unauthorized distribution and Reynolds is charged with Sale and Possession of Dangerous Drugs. Police have not said what kind of drugs they took.

Rite Aid officials released a statement saying they are fully cooperating with police during the investigation.
