ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A new app, created by two Georgia men is gaining popularity. Chris Peoples and Jake VanDyke, who are from Augusta, created "What the Health" app.
It allows you to see the latest health score for restaurants close to you, by using your location.
It also shows you what violations that restaurant was cited for during an inspection from the public health department.
Their own dining experience sparked the idea. "One night in downtown Augusta we were just searching around for restaurants to eat at, and we were kind of going by health inspection scores. We were surprised by some of the health inspection scores that some of those restaurants received," said Peoples.
So far more 3,000 people have downloaded the app.
You can find it in the app store on your i-Phone or Android.
