THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville High School students got a chance to meet representatives from local businesses Thursday morning.

The high school hosted a career fair with nearly 50 regional businesses and colleges.

Students practiced their interview skills and learned the different qualifications required for certain career fields.

Thomasville City Schools Director of Finance Dr. Daniel Oldham said, “We find that it's very important that they get this exposure so they're not just scratching their heads in the end with a high school degree and saying, "What do I want to be?' We try to expose them to as much as we can.”

Oldham said the city school system introduces information about different career opportunities to students as young as kindergartners to give them an early start.
