Cordele armed robber pleads guilty

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -  Alfred Ford Jr, plead guilty to multiple charges of Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Burglary, Wednesday in Crisp County Superior Court.

"They burglarized and robbed several businesses in a short time frame, and we actually were lucky to finally get a break and catch them. And once they were apprehended things just kind of fell into place. He was the last one to get into court," said Cordele Police Detective Ketorie Sales.

These charges stem from a string of crimes he was involved in last year.Cordele Police Detective Andrew Roufs says Ford's co-defendants have already plead guilty in these cases.

They are Christopher Felder, Gregory Ross, Raheem Montford and Montrell Clayton. 

Alfred Ford, Jr. was sentenced to thirty years in prison, with twenty of those to be served in state prison.
