ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some plumbers in Albany say they're prepared to fix more plumbing issues as it gets colder.

Professional Plumbing and Heating officials say they've only received one call for busted pipes so far. They don't think it's been cold long enough for many pipes to burst. They also believe they haven't had many calls because more people know what to do to keep their pipes from busting.

"It's probably because people are a little bit more knowledgeable as to wrapping or dripping faucets,” said Taffy Hughes, Secretary/Office Manager.” “They're taking the initiative. I really don't think it's been cold long enough for faucets to bust."

Plumbers say running water and insulating your pipes can save you hundreds of dollars in repairs.
