CAIRO, GA (WALB) - The Grady County School Board wants to give back to a local organization that serves as a safe haven for many of its students.
For the past five years, the school system has used five of its buses to transport students from different schools to the Boys and Girls Club, free.
Now they're lending the club their own bus. Not only will it cut down on drive time for the county's school bus drivers, it will also create new opportunities for the club.
"They will have their own bus on site. And field trips will be available to them, with their driver on staff. It's just a win-win situation," said Jerry Cox, Director of Operations.
The Jackie Robinson Boys and Girls Club is now working on finding a driver-- who will have go through training for certification.
