LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Street Sweep continues to clean criminals off the streets. Another Street Sweep most wanted fugitive stands before a Judge.
Matthew Peek, number 14 on our 'Street Sweep' broadcast Monday night, had his first appearance before Judge Jim Thurman in Lee County Magistrate Court Wednesday afternoon.
Peek is charged with burglary by the Lee County Sheriff's office. Investigators say he broke into a mobile home on Palmyra Road, and stole items.
He was picked up by Albany Police in the 1300 block of North Slappey Boulevard about 3:00 Tuesday, then handed over to Lee County authorities.
Judge Jim Thurman set a $15,000 bond, but ordered the Lee Sheriff's Office to check on charges that could be pending against Peek in Baker County.
