The Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce wants citizens to put money back in the local economy next Saturday, November 29. Several places around town will have deals on "Shop Small Saturday."
Shoppers who spend more than $50 have a chance to win a prize box. The chamber wants people to buy Christmas items locally instead of online or out of town.
"The one percent sales tax is used to pave roads, build hospitals, and schools and those type things," said Chamber President Monica Simmons.
Adam's Drug Store, Crimson and Clover Boutique, Crenshaw Jewelers, Flint River Pottery, Griffin Lumber & Hardware, Wells Hardware & Supply, J.W. Designs, Rags to Riches Boutique, Sakari and Company, Three's Company, and Walls Factory Outlet are the participating stores.
