A man is in the Thomas County Jail after narcotics agents found a bag of cocaine in the cuff of his jeans. Agents say the man was most likely hiding the drugs in his underwear, and the bag dropped as he was being searched.
39-year-old Danny Atmore is being charged with cocaine trafficking. Agents set up surveillance at a Thomas County business after they got a lead that Atmore would be there delivering.
"Narcotics agents could smell burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and we found a marijuana cigarette in the vehicle. He was detained and searched and in the cuff of the very bottom of his pants leg, we found an ounce of cocaine," said Thomas Co. Narcotics/Vice Commander Kevin Lee.
Atmore is also charged with possession of marijuana.
