Driver extracted from wrecked car downtown


An Albany woman is recovering after being cut from her vehicle following a crash downtown Tuesday morning.

Albany Police say Talia Ashley was driving in a Ford Equinox on West Oglethorpe Boulevard around 9 a.m.

Ashley attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a Ford F-250. Chelsea Rebone was driving the truck.

Ashley was extracted by the Albany Fire Department and transported to the hospital by EMS for observation. No charges have been filed at this time.
