ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Even though this season's first deep freeze is hitting earlier than usual, Some south Georgia hardware stores say they're ready.
If temperatures remain below freezing for hours and dip down into the low 20s as forecast Wednesday morning, that could cause some pipes to burst.
Linda wright at Ace Hardware on Highway 19 in Lee County say they have plenty of items in stock to serve customers looking to prepare for the cold.
"This surprised us, this is early this year, it really is. Usually we look for it in December or January, but it's early this year, so we figured we would stock up," said Wright.
If you're concerned about your exposed pipes or outdoor faucets, Now is the time to prepare so you're ready when those frigid temperatures hit Wednesday morning.
