Folks enjoy music at the park in Baconton

BACONTON, GA (WALB) -

Sunday's good weather brought out dozens of folks to hear some jazz music at a park in Baconton.

It's a free event put on by St. James Baptist Church and the city. Pastor Lawrence Knighton says he wants to help bring in more activities for families.

"It gives the community something to do..after Church especially...not to just be out in the community with nothing to do. I think this event has been a wonderful event for Baconton," says resident Sabrina Thomas.

Pastor Knighton tells us he plans to giveaway a car next Sunday at 1 p.m.
