VSU helps make Christmas wishes come true

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta State University's Volunteer Services plan to host 'Holiday Helper Tree' through Friday, Dec. 12.

The tree is located on the third floor of the Student Union inside the Student Life office.

It's decorated with 94 ornaments that feature Christmas wishes from children in the community in need and have been been nominated by the Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County Inc. and Project Light for Women, a program of the Behavioral Health Service of South Georgia.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are encouraged to participate. The deadline to choose a name is Thursday, Dec. 11. The unwrapped gifts must be turned in to the Student Life office by 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12.
