LEE CO., GA (WALB) - The Miss Albany Pageant is back after a five year hiatus.
Organizers say thanks to the help of lots of donors they were able to bring the event back tonight at Lee County High School.
Contestants competed in a talent and swimsuit competition.
This contest also serves as a preliminary to the Miss Georgia competition. Directors say they're excited about tonight's event.
"All these people saw the value that it brought to our city, to have a spokesperson, a spokes model for our city and all the great things that are going on in Albany and we really want to bring that back for our city," says Executive Director Amanda Biery.
The winners tonight included Reedi Hawkins, who won Miss Albany, Madison Barber, who won Miss Albany's Outstanding Teen, and Marah Collins, who won Miss Flint Outstanding Teen.
