MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, GA (WALB) - Several generations of "Flying Tigers" reunited at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta Friday, including three World War II veterans.
They saw a demonstration of the base's combat search and rescue capabilities and got to see and tour some of the aircraft currently in operation at the base.
Major Don Miller, one of the World War II vets and a retired member of the 75th Fighter Squadron, said he was glad to be able to see his fellow World War II veterans again. "It's great, because it'll probably be the last time I'll see JM. He's got his own problems and I've got mine; he may be back. Frank has had a couple strokes; he may come back. But this is it," Miller explained.
The Flying Tigers Reunion is held once every two years.
