Valdosta man arrested for armed home invasion

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A woman's Prince Cove home was invaded by three men Tuesday, who took $500 in cash. One of the men carried a rifle. The victim told VPD that three black men entered her home, and demanded that she give them whatever she had. 

Detectives from the VPD Person's Crime Unit and a Crime Scene Technician from the Valdosta Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory received information on a possible offender, Jacob Gardner, who was identified as one of the criminals.

Gardner was arrested Thursday, and transported to the Lowndes County Jail, charged with Armed Robbery, Home Invasion, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

Detectives have other persons of interest, and further charges are pending.
