ALBANY, GA (WALB) - From picking out the Medicare plans that's right for them, to getting advice to manage their medicine, seniors got help Thursday evening that could help them live healthier and happier lives.
More than 150 people attended the SOWEGA Council on Aging's open house at the Senior Life Enrichment Center.
Experts on Medicare, Social Security, Veterans services and retirement benefits were there to meet with them.
The Council on Aging also highlighted all the services they offer thousands of seniors in 14 counties.
"They had an opportunity to go around and great representatives all of our departments and we had veterans and of course this is veterans week. We had an opportunity for them to go and ask questions about benefits," said Brian Ramey, Georgia Cares Coordinator.
Participants also got a chance to learn Tai Chi and take part in other exercise sessions.
