An Albany high school is making sure its seniors apply to college.
Monroe High School held its first apply to college event Thursday.
Counselors and college representatives were on hand to answer questions and help students navigate online applications. And these seniors are grateful.
"I don't really have a lot of time at home to fill out applications, so it was very beneficial. I actually had time to fill in applications that I was very interested in," said Breyona Wilson, who applied to 8 colleges.
"They want you to do it on your own or at home. Being able to take it out of class, it's easier, and it's more fun to get to do it with your classmates," said Brentavious Glanton, a senior.
Counselors say their goal is to make sure all 180 seniors apply to at least one college or university.
The event is to celebrate Georgia Apply to College Week.
