Police: Man struck by vehicle near Palmyra

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany police say a man was hit by a car in Albany Wednesday night.

According to a report, the man, who was not named, was hit by a Chrysler Sebring near the Ken Gardens Sports Complex entrance on Ken Garden Drive, near Palmyra around 9:20 p.m.

Police said the man's injuries were serious. He was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

It was not clear how the man ended up in the road. Police believe the man was at Break Time pool hall on Palmyra Road prior to the incident.

There was also no immediate word on what the driver of the Sebring saw.
