Brooks' murder trial closing arguments start Thursday morning

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Jurors will hear closing arguments Thursday morning in the trial of an Albany man charged with fatally beating another man with a board with nails in it.

The state and defense rested their cases Wednesday afternoon in the murder trial of Calvin Brooks.

Prosecutors say he and two other men beat 45-year old Jerome Walden in an alley on Edgerly Avenue June 24th, 2011.

Walden died that August.

One of the other defendants reached a plea deal, and the other was convicted of murder last year.
