NEWTON, GA (WALB) - Baker County students are rewarded for good behavior with a water balloon fight. K through 12 students got to throw water balloons at their teachers for Baker County's first "War Games."
Students had to earn at least 75 points through the school's checking and savings system, which adds points for good behavior and deducts points for bad behavior.
Teachers say it's a way to encourage positive behavior.
"We want families to know and want our children to know that positive behavior, academically within the school system as well as in the community it speaks volumes as to your character. So, we're trying to build character here," said Tracy Barber, Parent Involvement Coordinator and Mentor.
175 students participated in the War Games. School officials say they will come up with another incentive for good behavior next semester.
