ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Phoebe's Radiation Oncology Clinic got a new makeover to help patients.
The clinic received a complete makeover thanks to funds raised by the Lights of Love campaign. The Phoebe Foundation and the Junior Women's Club of Albany reveal the new patient waiting area and several rooms tonight. The new changes are designed to be more comfortable to patients as they receive treatments and service.
"Some patients have to stay here for a long time. We have some special chairs and areas. We have pods so that families can sit around and chat rather than being so far away in just a typical waiting room environment," said Linda Van der Merwe, VP of Oncology.
Seventy-three thousand dollars were raised for the clinic that went unchanged for the last 10 years.
